Dear Hearts
Unsettled weather has had similar effect upon me, yet going to ground brings the green back within. Do plants for warmer days? Here is a short film featuring Rose.
I feel at home in the green, the green of growth of being and beings. Where there is green is life is calm and knowingness. Green is at once a homecoming and the place from which all other colours emerge from.
Where would we be without plants? Where would I be without plants?
Anyway, leaving such thoughts aside for the moment, here is a bit of magic from a lovely little device called PLANTChoir. From the magic of tuning into a pot plant to going out in my garden, I’ve been blessed with another avenue for my creative musings and explorations. Here is a ‘rough sketch’ short film of my garden in Spring featuring Rose. The music you are about to hear has been composed between the two of us and beneath, the poem inspired by my sitting...
April Rose
Here she is wrapped in cloak of green
Tight lipped buds to heavens’ blue
Balancing there, upon the cusp
And so, remains unseen
She’s dreaming of halcyon days
Pink petals all unfurled
In Summers’ hazy golden blaze
Revealing beauty to the world
I’ve been really enjoying working with my plant friends experimenting with combining their music with images and film. There will be more to come!
Before you go here is a photo of all the daffodils currently flowering at Wild Spirit Woods our on-the-ground home.
Wilding Wishes and blessings on you all
